Our stay at the First Hotel Risen was a memorable experience thanks to its lovely location, friendly staff, and a fantastic breakfast selection. The room we were upgraded to was newly refurbished and spacious, offering stunning views. However, we faced an issue at check-in regarding our original room allocation, which was a bit frustrating. Overall, it was a great city break hotel, and we would love to revisit.
The hotel's location in Gamla Stan is convenient for exploring Stockholm, and the breakfast is exceptional with a wide variety. However, the rooms can feel cramped, especially since we experienced issues with maintenance and renovations during our stay. Overall, while the atmosphere and service were pleasant, the room size and ongoing work detracted from our experience.
I had a wonderful experience at this hotel located in Gamla Stan, with easy access to main attractions and a stunning harbor view from my room. The cleanliness was top-notch and the breakfast was delightful, although I couldn’t enjoy it fully because of my early schedule. The staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities like the gym and spa were a significant plus. Unfortunately, miscommunication about breakfast tea service was a minor hiccup in an otherwise lovely stay.

The location truly can't be beaten, placed just steps away from historic sites and waterfront views.
